WELCOME TO SOUND ABILITIES SPEECH PATHOLOGY

At our speech pathology clinic on Bribie Island (North Brisbane), we provide speech therapy for children, adolescents and adults who have communication or swallowing difficulties. We are committed to providing therapy that is evidence-based, neurodiversity affirming and individualised to each person’s needs, in a way that is fun and effective. 

HOW WE CAN HELP

Speech Therapy for Children

 We assess and provide speech therapy for children who have speech pronunciation or literacy difficulties. We have a special interest in working with children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. 

Speech Therapy for Adults

We assess and provide speech therapy for adults who have difficulties with communication or swallowing. This includes dysphagia, aphasia, voice disorders and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). We also provide the SPEAK OUT! program for adults with Parkinson's. 

Literacy Support

We provide literacy support for people of all ages who need support learning to read and spell using the Sounds-Write phonics program. This is a multi-sensory, structured synthetic phonics program based on the science of reading.​
