WELCOME TO SOUND ABILITIES SPEECH PATHOLOGY

At our speech therapy clinic on Bribie Island (North Brisbane), we provide speech therapy for children, adolescents and adults who need help speaking more clearly or learning to read and spell. We are committed to providing therapy that is evidence-based, neurodiversity affirming and individualised to each person’s needs, in a way that is fun and effective. We also offer literacy tutoring for people of all ages using the Sounds-Write phonics program.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Speech Therapy for Children

 We assess and provide speech therapy for children who have speech pronunciation or literacy difficulties (including dyslexia), using a variety of evidence-based methods. We have a special interest in working with clients with Childhood Apraxia of Speech. 

Speech Therapy for Adults

We assess and provide speech therapy for adults with speech pronunciation and literacy difficulties that are limiting their ability to participate fully in their everyday life. We are excited to also provide the SPEAK OUT! program for adults with Parkinson's. 

Literacy Tutoring

We provide literacy tutoring for people of all ages who need support learning to read and spell using the Sounds-Write phonics program. This is a multi-sensory, structured synthetic phonics program based on the science of reading.​
